We are delighted to announce that our project enabling water quality reporting via API has been included in the shortlist for the highly anticipated World Summit Awards.
The WSA represents the best in UN Sustainable Development innovation, and we are proud to be nominated alongside Digital Passport NZ and Toku Eyes as part of a strong cohort representing Aotearoa New Zealand.
Our submission showcases the groundbreaking work we have been doing with New Zealand's water services regulator, Taumata Arowai, in implementing legislation around drinking water quality in a digital-first approach. This collaborative project has enabled all water suppliers in New Zealand to report water quality monitoring data via API.
The nomination is a testament to our continued efforts to provide world-leading innovation in the machine-executable regulation and law as code spaces. We think it is a powerful case study of what's possible when we integrate regulation with digital systems in a structured way. It’s an excellent starting point for more interesting work to come with Syncopate Lab.
The shortlist will now be assessed by the WSA Grand Jury meeting in Hyderabad, India, next month. Stay tuned and follow us on LinkedIn for updates!
